Founded by a young, enthusiastic South African teacher with a heart full of love for education and a globe-spanning teaching journey, our academy is more than just a place of learning—it’s a community where students, teachers, and families come together to grow, explore, and thrive.

Our founder’s teaching adventure began in the heart of Oman, in a small rural village where English was a mystery to the students. Within a month, conversations bloomed, and a grade 4 student was confidently speaking English—a magical moment that sparked a lifelong passion for education. With teaching experiences that span South Africa, Oman, and Abu Dhabi, and the privilege of working with diverse cultures, we understand that true educational beauty lies in bringing people from all walks of life together to build brighter futures.

Mozambique captured our founder’s heart back in 2007, and Ponta do Ouro stood out as a community brimming with potential but in need of a nurturing educational hub. Louw Tide Academy was born from a dream to provide just that—an inclusive, supportive environment where nature and culture enrich every student’s learning experience.

We offer education from Grade 1 to 12, following the internationally respected Cambridge International Curriculum and GED programs. But learning at Louw Tide Academy goes far beyond the classroom. With beach days, hiking trails, and a deep connection to the natural beauty around us, we cultivate a holistic educational experience that nurtures both the mind and soul.

Our commitment doesn’t stop with our students. We strive to uplift the entire community by offering free tutoring classes in English and mathematics and creating opportunities for children’s school fees to be sponsored. We believe education is a gift that can change lives, and it’s our mission to ensure that gift is accessible to as many children as possible.

We also foster opportunities for learners to socialize, explore their unique talents, and branch out into fields they are passionate about. Our goal is to equip each student with the confidence, skills, and knowledge they need to pursue their dreams and make meaningful contributions to their communities and the world.
